EDUCATION
2015-present Numerous workshops in ceramic arts taught by various instructors at Lillstreet Studios in Chicago
1980 MA/MFA in painting, minor in graphics, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH. Recipient of Accomplished Graduate Honoree in Fine Arts Award, 1992.
1976 BA in Studio Art, with highest honors, Principia College, Elsah, IL; group study abroad in Europe. Recipient of Catherine Cogswell Maule Art Opportunity Award.
EMPLOYMENT
1980-present Independent Artist, self-employed. This has involved producing, exhibiting and marketing watercolors, drawings, mixed-media paintings, folding screens, murals, and most recently ceramics. It has also included doing numerous commissions for private and public clients. Concurrently, part-time teaching positions and various lecture and workshop opportunities are accepted.
2014 Visiting Faculty Member, Art and Art History Department, Principia College, Elsah, IL, Fall Semester, This
involved teaching Public Art and Mixed-Media painting. The Public Art course included a large multi-sectioned mural in
paint and mosaic on cement board titled “Abundance” for a building in Alton, IL. It was dedicated by Mayor Brant Walker
of Alton in a ceremony.
2006-2011 Instructor in Design and Sketching for Interior Design, International Academy of Design and
Technology, Chicago, IL.
2000-2005 Instructor in Color Theory, Fashion Sketching, and Rendering Techniques,
International Academy of Design and Technology, Chicago, IL. This has included two summer sketching tours to
Europe with at least 21 students and two other faculty
members.
1997-1999 Adjunct Instructor of Art and Humanities, Moraine Valley Community College, Palos Hills, IL. Courses taught:
Humanities, 2-D Design, Drawing, and Painting.
1995-1997 Visiting Assistant Professor of Art, part-time, Ripon College, Ripon, WI. Courses taught: Drawing I and II, Painting I
and II, Independent Project, and Art for Elementary Education.
1993-1995 Art Instructor, Chicago Junior School, Elgin, IL. This involved teaching the basics of art to children from grades 1-8 and
doing a number of collaborative works with them for permanent display at the school. (This school was recently re-named
the Fox River Country Day School.)
1987-1992 Instructor in Color Theory, International Academy of Merchandising and Design, Chicago, IL. Taught Color Theory
to students of interior design, fashion merchandising, and fashion design.

Anne’s public art class at Principia College, Elsah, IL and residents of Alton at Saturday
sessions at the Jacoby Arts Center.
“Gifts from Above,” mixed-media, multi-sectioned mural created for Lower Concourse of Principia
College, Elsah, IL, with 8 students from the Public Art Class taught by Anne
2012-13 “Progress Happens Here/El Progreso Ocurre Aqui,” 26’x72’ mural created with children,
Families, other artists, and many community members at San Jose Obrero Mission, a women’s
shelter in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. A Neighborhood Arts Program Grant was
received and more funds were generated for the mural through a restaurant fundraiser
established by the artist.
2007-08 “Solidarity Mural,” 3-dimensional collaborative mural created with children and families of
Slam Dunk for Diabetes, a children’s basketball camp sponsored by the Chicago Bulls.
