This is another "clay sonnet" from the clay series I have begun based on Shakespeare's sonnets. Sonnet 7 is my interpretation of a young person's journey to the Orient and the symbolism of climbing to the top of a mountain. Quite honestly, the elephant "happened" when I first threw down the clay and a 'trunk' appeared. It was 'meant to be!'
