This watercolor/gouache is a preliminary study, or maquette, for "Abundance," a multi-sectional mural that I created with students at a class I taught in 2014 at Principia College in Elsah, IL. The mural itself was installed on Hardiebacker cement board panels in Alton, IL, and was a large montage in exterior paint and mosaic which delineated the abundance of sanctuary fowl, wildlife, lifestock, crops, trees, flora, domestic animals, and students in the region. Several participants from the community worked with us on Saturdays at the Jacoby Arts Center in Alton.
