"Annie in a Cage"

This illustration from "Annie Bananie: My Forever Home" has very melancholy overtones as Annie Bananie, the toy poodle, is very sad.  Grandpa Henry, her beloved owner, is ill and his son placed her in a shelter where she is living in a cage.  Her pink ribbons are scattered on the floor.
